Jerry is a native Midwesterner, but has lived in California for most of his adult life. He got his first taste of real estate ownership in California in his late 20s, and has since owned and managed a number of single-family and income properties.

Jerry has invested many years of his life training & working in real estate related endeavors, encompassing: acquisitions & sales, urban planning & development, real estate finance & lending, income property analysis & management, and residential inspections & valuations. He holds a Bachelors of Science Degree (Psychology major), a Master of Regional and City Planning Degree, and has earned licenses in Real Estate, Appraisal, Securities (Investments), and Insurance. Prior to establishing a full-time real estate sales practice he operated his own Personal Financial Planning business locally for 6 years (residential investment was one aspect of this business). In this capacity the concept of fiduciary responsibility (essentially looking out for the client's interests FIRST) became paramount, and remains so today. He has a good understanding of client concerns and needs, listens well, and is genuinely interested in helping folks achieve their goals.

The combination of Jerry's professional background and his long-time familiarity with many area-specific issues and matters of importance to Russian River Wine Country buyers and sellers offers a unique value to his clients. He also provides helpful information in his monthly real estate column in "We the People." He loves the natural beauty, changing seasons and mild climate of Northern California, and enjoys kayaking, hiking, roller blading, snow/water skiing, & hot-tubs, and manages to squeeze in some amateur photography when time permits. Jerry has participated in such activities as wine making, karate, piloting single-engine planes, pilates, yoga, and meditation. He is a volunteer for Face To Face and Food For Thought (and is a former Board member), has been a student tutor, a Big Brother, and holds memberships in the North Bay Association of Realtors, California Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, and is a Member of the Russian River Chamber of Commerce and the Russian River LGBT Tourism Guild
