Don Steward

Don joined Herth Real Estate in 2006 and brings an expansive background that makes him well suited for the real estate industry.  Growing up in Alaska, gave him an appreciation for the wilderness and environment.  Don got his real estate license for the first time at age 21 in the Los Angeles market, and also worked in that area in property management.  He moved to Europe at age 25 working for the Department of Defense for 13 years in European telecommunications industry. He spent 5 years in Holland working for a telecommunications company building the first high speed internet network bridging the continents of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).  Don was responsible for bringing large projects to completion while making sure they met all specifications along every step of the way.  This experience involved a great deal of detail oriented projects, and by speaking German and Dutch he also developed excellent communication skills.

Returning to Santa Rosa in 2003, Don re-entered into the real estate business, specializing in relocation services to clients moving into Sonoma County as well as relocating their families around the world.  Along the way Don has found time to take classes in design which enhances his good eye in seeing the potential in properties, as well as the ability to appreciate the fine details that can be found in homes.

This varied background makes Don well suited for real estate.  He uses his detail oriented abilities and project management expertise to make sure every transaction is documented completely, and that all steps of the escrow process move smoothly and effectively.  His telecommunications background gives him the computer knowledge to succeed in today's internet markets.

The communication skills and his accessible manner he possesses make Don easy to work with. Don’s strong soft skills create an advantage in negotiations.  Don has a reputation of working with professionalism and integrity and has a list of satisfied clients who feel he is dedicated and available.  Don is committed to providing customized solutions, seamless transactions and successful results for each of his client's specific needs.

Don has represented a wide range of properties, from the small weekend cabins on the Russian River, large wine estates in Sonoma County, to condos and fine homes in San Francisco.
